16. The EAC's ‘Mid-West Start-Up Business Breakfast Club’ is for startup promoters and their employees and advisors to network with each other. The club meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month for an hour or so at breakfast time. Full details including registration on LinkedIn. Most recent breakfast club meeting was on the 13th May.

11. FUSION Lunchtime Briefing - Friday 15th May 2009
InterTradeIreland's FUSION is an all-island programme which enables knowledge and technology transfer between business and academia to support innovation and increase capability. FUSION develops and facilitates three-way cross-border partnerships and projects between companies, graduates and third level institutions. Click here for further information on FUSION.
LIT's External Services Unit arranged for representatives of FUSION to give a presentation in the EAC Boardroom on Friday 15th May from 1 - 2 pm. Presentation available on request.
10. Plato Mid-West and Supply Network Shannon in association with Limerick Institute of Technology and the University of Limerick hosted an afternoon seminar on Thursday 2nd April focused on the supports available in Ireland for research commercialisation, industry/3rd level collaboration and technology transfer. 9. Networking event for Software companies on 5th February
The Enterprise Acceleration Centre hosted a two hour evening seminar for software companies and start ups to focus on key issues for software and technology companies and the supports which are available to fast track their development. 8. Global Business Incubation Day - 8th December 2008
The Enterprise Acceleration Centre hosted a morning seminar for start-up entrepreneurs to focus on the legal and practical issues faced in securing Venture and Seed Capital Finance in Ireland. This event marked Global Business Incubation Day on Monday 8th December 2008.

7. The 2nd Mid West Entrepreneur Showcase was a huge success on October 9th 2008 with this year’s half day conference focusing on the theme of Sales for Start Ups.

3. Limerick City Business Week took place during the first week of October 2007. The Enterprise Acceleration Centre led Limerick Institute of Technology’s participation in this week by organising the ‘Mid West Entrepreneur Showcase’ on Thursday 4th October. The key focus of the Showcase was a seminar aimed at Start Up Entrepreneurs entitled: ‘Funding for New and Established Start-Ups’

2. Start Up BOOT CAMP 43
The Enterprise Acceleration Centre hosted its 3rd Start Up Boot Camp on September 22nd 2007 run by Brian O’Kane, MD of Oaktree Press.
The BOOT Camp is an intensive one-day learning workshop, designed to accelerate your progress towards start-up by providing you with the skills you need.

1. Presentation by Tyndall National Institute on National Access Programme (NAP)
Limerick Institute of Technology's External Services Office recently hosted representatives from the Tyndall National Institute who provided information on the National Access Programme (NAP).
NAP is an SFI supported project that provides researchers based in Institutes of Technology & Universities fully funded access to the ICT research infrastructure at the Tyndall National Institute in Cork.
