Evening Networking Event – Thursday 5th February 2009

The Enterprise Acceleration Centre hosted an evening networking briefing for software companies and start ups to focus on key issues for software companies and the supports which are available to fast track their development on Thursday 5th February 2009. This event was organised to launch the Microsoft® BizSpark™ Programme in the Mid-West region. The EAC has recently signed up as a Network Partner in this programme which is specifically designed to facilitate the development of promising technology startups.

The indigenous software sector employs 15,000 in 660 companies with the total software industry employing 25,000 in Ireland

Turnover in the software industry in Ireland was €15 billion in 2004 (€1.4 billion from indigenous sector), accounting for 13% of total Irish export
