Official unveiling of Acés Bistro @ LIT

Entrepreneurs with award winning ideas will be very impressed with the facilities offered by the newly opened Enterprise Acceleration Centre located on campus in Limerick Institute of Technology. This is according to Donncha Hughes, Enterprise Acceleration Centre Manager following the official opening of Acés Bistro, the restaurant located at the Centre.

Mr Hughes added:

“By locating in our building, small companies benefit from our resources and facilities, and have all the advantages of a larger company in terms of ability to impress customers which can be critical in winning orders for business. Acés Bistro is an important element of our overall package as it will be used by clients and visitors to the Centre. We are delighted that an award winning Chef Darragh Ronan has taken up residence in our kitchen.  The restaurant will be open each weekday from 8.30 AM to 4.00 PM catering for breakfast, lunch and afternoon treats. On a practical level, it is a fantastic resource for the employees of our client companies. It will prove an ideal meeting point for introductory chats between researchers in LIT and our clients which will over time lead to more formal partnerships and collaborations.”

Mr Hughes explained that Acés is a play on the name Enterprise Acceleration Centre. He added that the Bistro style will be very attractive to people based in the Centre and to college staff and researchers and also to businesses based in the region.

“The Centre has a boardroom and small meeting room which is available for a charge to businesses in the region. With Acés Bistro we offer a comprehensive package for catering for board meetings, off-site strategy and training sessions and also recruitment interviews. We feel that it is important that businesses in the city and region feel that they can use the facilities in LIT.”
